Sainsbury’s just massively changed their £3 meal deal and people are not pleased

British supermarket chain Sainsbury's said it had enjoyed record Christmas sales, as customers battled snow and freezing temperatures to head to its stores. This is an outrage.

Sainsbury’s has made a major change to its much-loved £3 meal deal offer and, understandably, people are not pleased.

So, here’s what’s happened. Their meal deal is now called an ‘on the go meal deal’. They’ve also significantly reduced the sandwich options included in the offer, preventing you from choosing any of their Taste The Difference range (all the fancier sandwiches in the grey bags).

This is a travesty among the meal deal community, as the new reduced range prevents you from including favourites such as the Chicken Triple or the Ham Hock and Extra Mature Cheddar Cheese in the offer.

Instead, the range is limited to simple sandwich standards, like Cheese and Tomato and Egg Mayo.

So if you fancy a triple, you’ll need to pay full price and extra for a snack and drink. Like a damn fool.

As you’d expect, people across the UK are absolutely furious about the meal deal updates. It doesn’t help that they’re now hungry, too
