It would be a sin to not feature this passionate blog on fashion by our not so little anymore cousin Tish. Since we knew her she has always set a trend and inspired us to reach great fashion heights. A family occasion meant her phone rang off the hook with relaz wanting to know how to rock certain outfits and what shoes matched which bag. So we all dancing over here that Tish finally put her passion to pen and oh boy what great reads she has …ps and am not biased ….indulge!
Happy Sunday gems! October is lurking and we’re enjoying the bits of summer that’s left. I’ve been battling with finding ‘inspo’ for the blog, Finding fresh ideas and content has been close to tedious. It’s been a slow month all round. I’ve always been the type of person that gets insanely regimented once I find something of great passion or interest. The blog launch has been one of those and it’s in quiet moments like these that I’m grateful for all the wind behind my wings- those that urge me on. Thank you! However, when life throws you a major curve ball, it takes a lot of your attention away from those very interests. Healing has to be a conscious effort and one that requires will and faith. I now know that the grief caused by certain major life changes;like learning to live without a loved one can be absolutely debilitating. We could get so consumed in the unfolding drama and lose focus of everything else. I’ve had to get back on the drawing board that I literally have in my kitchen because it’s the only way to get things done. To get that mojo back we sometimes could use some re-evaluations. Setting personal goals, learning perseverance and working on my own spiritual and general self development has been great with trying to set my feet firm on the ground again because it’s constant motivation. Personal affirmations are great for a boost too every now and then. Who knew I’d be stealing the sticky note idea from Gabrielle Union‘s character, Mary-Jane. I came to discover that self-confidence and success are greatly correlated. Finding passion in those things that make you smile could be all the confidence you need. I have great passion for style because it’s an amazing avenue to express myself and strangely enough, has been an amazing source of therapy!
For this look,I was going for a sexy, all black outfit that’s perfect for a night out. This beautifully bejewelled bodysuit has just the perfect sheer details to add lure and appeal while the black high-waisted skirt is perfectly figure hugging to accentuate the curves. They are both gorgeous pieces from Fashionnova. I completed the look with a pair of black heels from Sirens and this perfectly sized purse from Ninewest.
